The Selmer Signet Special was their top-tier intermediate clarinet in the 1960's. This instrument has been lovingly cared for in addition to our complete overhaul. The beautiful grenadilla wood is very dark (this quality of wood is no longer available, all new grenadilla wood is dyed to appear dark because all the old growth trees are gone). The instrument was made in Elkhart Indiana, and the outfit includes the original case. No cracks, no repairs. The plating on the keys is exceptional showing nearly zero play wear.
The clarinet produces a warm, rich and mellow. Comes complete with a Selmer HS* mouthpiece, Vandoren #3 reeds, a Selmer clarinet swab and cork grease.
