Up for sale is a wonderful vintage 1979 Yamaha FG-340 acoustic guitar in great playing condition and complete with  hardshell case. This FG-340 "Red Label" was made in Japan during the heyday of Yamaha's craftsmanship and tonewood selection, and represents one of their most sought-after acoustic guitars.

Despite its age, this FG-340 shows only mordrate  signs of use. The solid spruce top is straight and true, providing bright, balanced tone and good projection. The rosewood back and sides have darkened beautifully over 40+ years and resonate with full, complex overtones. The action is very comfortable and playable. Intonation up the neck is excellent.

This FG-340 has the build quality and materials to compare with guitars costing many times more today. The nitrocellulose finish has worn to a soft gloss that accentuates the visual charm of the woods. The neck has a comfortable, vintage "C" profile that feels great in the hand. Hardware shows only minor oxidation. The guitar plays great and has many years of music left in it.
