Return & Exchange Policy
We gladly accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of purchase for in-store sales, or within 14 days of delivery for online orders, unless otherwise noted below -- your receipt guarantees it. No refunds or exchanges are allowed for "as is," "closeout" or "clearance" items, products with software licenses, accordions, gift cards, special orders, vintage gear, or items used on the mouth or in ears that are not factory sealed, including but not limited to earbuds, harmonicas, kazoos, mouthpieces, recorders, and reeds.
A 15% restocking fee applies to all returned microphones and headphones. Returned items that are used improperly, modified, installed, damaged, or missing parts, packaging, or accessories may incur this fee or be disqualified from return. All returned woodwind and brass instruments require a mandatory $15 cleaning fee for health and safety reasons.
Refunds are unavailable on layaway payments, deposits, shipping costs, or Cheep Shipping Protection. Store Credit is not convertible to cash. Cash purchases over $100 receive immediate company check refunds; other payments refund to the original source within 3-10 business days. All purchases made using third-party financing (including but not limited to SNAP Finance, Affirm, etc.) are final sale and non-refundable. While financing companies may allow refunds, our store policy specifically excludes returns on financed items. Please be certain of your purchase before using financing options. Written price quotes are valid for 30 days; verbal price quotes are non-binding.
Layaways must be paid in full within six weeks. Layaways not paid in full by the due date will be released back into stock, and all payments made will remain as non-refundable store credit on your account. We may consider extensions in cases of documented hardship; please speak with a manager before your due date.
Delicate instruments (including but not limited to clarinets, flutes, saxophones, orchestral instruments, and accordions) require proper handling and/or assembly techniques. While we demonstrate basic assembly and handling when possible, it is essential that players receive proper instruction from their teacher before independent use. Damage from improper assembly or handling is not covered under the warranty or return policy. We strongly recommend having your teacher demonstrate proper assembly, handling, and maintenance techniques.
Dirt Cheep provides warranty coverage only when specifically noted on your receipt below the item. All other products are covered solely by the manufacturer's warranty and must be processed through the manufacturer's support channels. ProCare customers should bring all issues directly to Dirt Cheep.
