What “Prime” Means Around Here

Every now and then, we get our hands on something special — the kind of gear that turns heads, sparks conversations, and usually doesn’t stick around long. When that happens, we mark it as Prime. For the first few weeks, these pieces are local pickup only, because our Georgia customers are the backbone of Dirt Cheep. They trade with us, take lessons, come back for cables and repairs, and keep the local music scene alive. After they’ve had their shot, we’ll open Prime items up for shipping nationwide.

To keep things fair (and save us all a headache), Prime items have a $500 flat shipping rate during that local-only period. That’s not because shipping really costs $500 — it’s our way of making sure folks far away don’t click “buy” before reading the fine print. If someone does anyway, we’ll cancel and refund the order, no hard feelings. It just helps us make sure these special finds have a real chance to land in local hands first.
