The BAE 1073: The Sound of Classic Recording
The BAE 1073 is a faithful recreation of the legendary Neve 1073 microphone preamp, one of the most sought-after pieces of gear in the recording world. With its warm, rich sound and transparent high end, the 1073 has been used on countless hit records, from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to Adele's "21."
The BAE 1073 is made with the same high-quality components as the original, including St Ives (Carnhill) transformers, Elma switches, and Canford wire. It is also hand-wired using discrete electronics, just like the vintage modules.
The BAE 1073 looks identical to the original, and it can even be retrofitted into vintage Neve consoles. This means that you can get the same classic sound as the engineers who recorded the biggest hits of all time.
If you're looking for a microphone preamp that will give your recordings the warm, analog sound of yesteryear, then the BAE 1073 is the perfect choice for you.
