USED MXL CR89 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

The MXL CR89 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for studio vocals, acoustic instruments, voice work, and other sources where detail and clarity matter. Its fixed cardioid pickup pattern makes it a straightforward option for home and project studios that want a dedicated condenser mic without a lot of extra complexity.

Key Features

• Large-diaphragm condenser design captures more detail and nuance than a typical dynamic microphone.

• Cardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound from the front while helping reduce pickup from the rear.

• Transformerless electronics are designed for a clean, open response suitable for vocals and instruments.

• XLR connection integrates easily with standard audio interfaces, mixers, and microphone preamps that provide phantom power.

• Protective case included provides storage for the microphone, though the case itself shows significant cosmetic wear.

Condition

C condition. The microphone itself is clean and presents well, but there is no shock mount included. The case is fairly beat cosmetically and shows heavier wear from use, though it still provides basic storage and protection.
