VINTAGE 1982 Alvarez 5051 60th Anniversary Acoustic Guitar

This one-owner 1982 Alvarez 5051 60th Anniversary acoustic has the kind of honest wear and history that make a vintage guitar feel immediately broken in. Purchased new in North Georgia in 1982, it has a comfortable Martin-like neck profile and a balanced, smooth voice with a slight midrange emphasis.

Key Features

• One-owner history traces the guitar back to its original purchase in North Georgia in 1982.

• Comfortable neck profile has a substantial, Martin-like feel that suits players who prefer a more traditional acoustic neck shape.

• Grover tuning machines replaced the original tuners shortly after the guitar was purchased new.

• Balanced acoustic voice has a smooth overall character with a slightly mid-forward response.

• Dark brown finish gives the guitar a distinctive, understated vintage appearance.

Condition

Vintage player-grade condition with moderate play wear throughout and moderate fret wear. There are two cracks in the right side of the top, one approximately 2 inches long and another approximately 4 inches long that snakes into the binding and then back onto the top. The original tuning machines were replaced with Grovers soon after the guitar was purchased new. The wear is consistent with a well-played, one-owner instrument of this age and should be considered part of its overall vintage condition.

A compelling choice for the player who values a comfortable broken-in neck, smooth balanced tone, and genuine one-owner vintage history over pristine cosmetics.
