The Ovation Celebrity Elite Shallow Bowl combines the comfortable feel of Ovation's slim Lyrachord body with the distinctive multi-soundhole design and easy-playing neck that made these guitars popular with stage performers. This vintage example has plenty of miles on it and some important playability issues to understand, but its electronics sound great and the neck remains exceptionally comfortable in the lower positions.

Condition
C condition. Average vintage cosmetic condition with several issues worth noting. The neck angle is less than ideal, resulting in action that becomes somewhat high once you reach approximately the 7th position, and the truss rod is currently maxed out. There is significant first-position fingerboard wear with visible divots. The guitar has also taken an impact near the lower right area of the top, leaving an approximately one-inch-or-smaller damaged area that penetrates the clear coat and goes into the wood. Despite these issues, the neck remains very comfortable in the lower positions and the onboard preamp sounds great.
A good fit for a player who understands its limitations and wants an affordable vintage Ovation primarily for lower-position playing or amplified use. It's not cosmetically perfect and the neck geometry should be considered before purchase, but it retains the comfortable feel and distinctive plugged-in character that make these shallow-bowl Ovations so much fun to play.
